Previously I post an article on Steve’s MMA conditioning circuit 4, which can be found here. In this post was the previous circuit 3 he performed. In total Steve performed 4 intense circuits.
Steve is one of my local Jeet Kune Do students who is preparing for his first MMA-Pro fight later this year (September 2010). As we progress through the year Steve will undergo different training phases. Each phase or mesocycle will targeting different energy system bring up his over all performance level.
It is important to note that each training session we perform is different and targets different strengths i.e. maximal strength, explosive strength, strength endurance, cardiovascular endurance. This will allow for optimal development of his overall conditioning in the given time frame and avoid injury and/or over training.
