MMA Conditioning Session Circuit 4 Burn-outs

by Tom Harvey on 2010/02/20

This is one of the MMA conditioning circuits I perform with my fighter clients here in Minot, North Dakota. In this video is upcoming Jeet Kune Do student Steve preparing to for his first cage fight later this year. The idea behind this circuit is to make it though each station as quickly as possible for a set number of reps per station. This one was based on 20 reps per station with 100 strikes to the bag. The idea is to decrease the overall time for completing the circuit as you progress.

What makes this difficult is the fact that it is a finisher or burn-out circuit and the exercises are anaerobic in nature. Meaning it is performed at the end of the workout. I usually refer to these as the warrior rounds due to the fact that it takes everything you’ve got to complete them.
